The smart city is not « only » a digital issue. The “purely” technological approach of the smart city is often a biased vision that can negatively impact the territorial cohesion. The social integration is a prerequisite so as not to transform the smart city into an amplifying factor of the “urban segregation” and / or the “territorial fragmentation”.
The holistic approach of Smart City will be based on six (06) pillars:
- Smart governance,
- Smart people (smart citizens). Indeed, there’s no smart city without smart people !
- Smart sustainable development,
- Smart business ecosystems,
- Smart societal (and social) responsibility,
- Smart holistic information system.
